On March 22nd, BlueBee Project took part in our first Hike for Hope in Galveston, TX, with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). AFSP raises awareness for suicide prevention and provides vital programs to support individuals and families affected by suicide. We joined hundreds of others, each affected by suicide in their own way.
Our team and supporters included Nathan’s family, friends, and community. Some had never even met Nathan and yet, his story moved them to join our team in support of Suicide Prevention. Their presence reminded us that no one is ever alone in this journey. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of so many, we reached our fundraising goal of $4,000. Every dollar we raised reflects hope inspired by Nathan and supports AFSP’s life-saving work.
As we walked along the seawall, the salty Gulf breeze reminded us of the many unforgettable moments we had with Nathan. We honored his memory while sharing our story of pain, love, and hope. There is hope. With every smile, every hug, every step, we wanted others to know: even in the darkest moments of life healing is always possible.
We would love for you to join us at our next (or your local) Hike for Hope, with AFSP. Whether you’ve been personally impacted or simply want to stand in support of this important cause, your presence matters. Every step raises awareness, funds vital suicide prevention programs, and reminds others that they are not alone. Together, we can turn pain into purpose and ensure that hope always has a voice.
Until then, remember: #BlueBeeProject Sees You #BreakingtheSilence, Building Hope
